Interested in joining the Hg research team at WSU?
The majority of my research time is focused on Hg cycling in the Great Salt Lake and I am always looking for WSU undergraduate students to be involved. The new Hg in stream invertebrates project will also involve a team of student researchers. I primarily work with Zoology majors, but am happy to meet with students from other majors about getting involved if there is strong interest. Students who wish to do research with me should express a clear interest in an active project, be in good academic standing, and have some availability during the summer for field sampling. Lab work can take place over summer and/or during the academic year. The degree to which each student is involved in research depends on their interest and availability; there is plenty of flexibility. Interested students are welcome to stop by my office (Tracy Hall 407) or send me an email to arrange a meeting.
Interested in a research collaboration?
I have multiple collaborations across the US and with international researchers through which I assist with developing sampling protocols for tissue collection for Hg analysis as well as run samples for total Hg using the Direct Mercury Analyzer (Nippon MA-3000) in my lab. If you are interested in working together, please reach out!
